Water leak sound logger principles:
Water leak noise logging is a low-cost and effective
alternative to night-work. The loggers measure the intensity of the
noises during a defined period of time and look for the lowest noise level.
If the level is very low, then there is no water leak near the SePem®
water leak data logger.
SePem®
concept offers both short term and permanent leak monitoring. Individual
water leak noise loggers can be placed into the next measuring spots after
one or two nights of measuring. SePem®
software offers extensive functions for planning the measuring cycles
and processing the data.
A preferred method to find municipal water leaks because water leak detection depends highly on the intensity of environmental noises and must often be conducted at night. The water leakage sound loggers require less staff time and avoid undesirable nighttime work.
SePem® K with noise sensor. Modular system fitted with changeable water leak sensors, enables different applications of the same water leak logger. Also useable as water pressure logger in combination with other sensors.
Alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries.Charging can be done without opening the leak logger.
No water contact required.
Couples to water valves, fire-hydrants or other fittings are available as
accessories.
