Radiodetection's Pipeline Current Mapper (PCM) overcomes the limitations of the
existing techniques used for evaluating cathodic protection system
effectiveness. The PCM easily identifies and locates shorts and also
determines areas of coating defects.
The system eliminates the need to perform "current spans" and manual
calculations and works without connection to the pipeline. Data logging, onsite
review of readings, and uploading to a PC or Laptop with graph printing is also
featured.
Easily identifies and locates shorts
Determines areas where there are pipeline coating defects.
Works in areas where there is metallic contact with other structures
Measures and displays current magnitude without connection to the pipeline
