The utility locator receiver automatically recognizes the A-frame when it's connected and changes to the correct frequency. Single or two hand operation | |
| Display shows the fault signal strength allowing determination of the degree of the fault and whether there may be other faults on the same cable. | |
| Locates cable sheath-to-ground faults on direct buried power and other cables |
When near the fault, the forward or backward arrows point towards the fault where ever you place the A-frame.
The signal strength number shows the strengh of the fault to determine if there is another fault on the cable and which fault is the major fault.
Some cable faults can be located with just the cable locator receiver and transmitter by locating where the signal changes or rapidly stops..
multiple ranges, large backlit LCD, adjustable instrument
settings and fingertip operation.

Radiodetection's Pipeline Current Mapper (PCM) overcomes the limitations of the
existing techniques used for evaluating cathodic protection system
effectiveness. The PCM easily identifies and locates shorts and also
determines areas of coating defects.
The system eliminates the need to perform "current spans" and manual
calculations and works without connection to the pipeline. Data logging, onsite
review of readings, and uploading to a PC or Laptop with graph printing is also
featured.
