The CAT 3 & Genny pipe and cable locator utilizes the latest technology to lead in performance, ruggedness, affordability, low cost of ownership and reliability.

Rugged - The CAT3 has been driven over sideways by a Range Rover without damage to the locator or the Range Rover.

Underground cables and pipes represent a major hazard to construction workers resulting in personal injury, costly repairs of buried cables and pipes, and delays. The C.A.T.³ (Cable Avoidance Tool) locates signals naturally radiating from metallic services and the Genny³ applies a distinctive locate signal that the CAT³ cable locator detects.

Avoidance Scan™
This new feature locates Power, Radio and Genny locate signals simultaneously, dramatically speeding up pre-dig survey times and encouraging the use of all three modes reducing costs and improving safety.

StrikeAlert™
The StrikeAlert™ feature alerts the user to shallow power cables or buried cables and pipes with a power signal by flashing the ALERT icon on the display of the CAT³V or CAT³+ cable locator. Pipes and cables near an active power cable have power signals.

Cutting edge technology ensures exceptionally fast sound and meter response, improved precision pinpoint cable locating and smoothness.

Enhanced Signal Processing
Patented signal processing techniques reject unwanted signals to a level never achieved before optimizing the CAT³ in congested sites, overhead electrical cables and other challenges.

Backlight
The auto switching backlight extends battery life, increases convenience, and lights the screen for easier night use.

Pulse/Continuous switch
Switching to the pulse mode extends battery life. The new Genny locator transmitter works with all 33 kHz CAT locator receivers.

"Real Sound"
Hearing the "Real Sound" helps distinguish the signal from random background noise.

Batteries
The new CAT³ and Genny³ pipe and cable locators provide maximum use at minimum cost with the advantages of the same D size batteries. New battery low indicator alerts when batteries are low.

The Genny signal locator transmitter works with the C.A.T3+. It supplies either a "direct connection" signal mode for or an "induced" signal mode.
